A quick little iPhone maternity pic snapped of yours truly at our shoot for @mother.ly with the incredible @annerobert_ on Capitol Hill. Beautiful crown by @sweetrootvillage // hair and makeup by @amiedeckerbeauty. 36 weeks and counting! ?️ #dc #acreativedc #pregnant #maternity #mom #vintagerentals #mommytobe #vintage #lace

On Capitol Hill today, the amazing Anne Robert snapped a few pics maternity of me in between shooting for the new Mother.ly website.  The new Mother.ly site was looking for a preggo Momma, so that is how I got involved, as this bump is definitely out there!  It actually worked out perfectly because I didn’t want a whole typical maternity shoot and this gave Anne enough time just to snap a few pics of me and my belly without making a whole production of it.  I don’t have any pics of how my mom looked when she was preggo with me, so I wanted to be sure to capture that for my little one when he gets older.  I am 36 weeks in this photo…counting down to Dec 8 when Baby Baldwin is due.

I won’t lie, I am very nervous how I am going to balance new motherhood and running Something Vintage.  I feel like I could dedicate 1000000 hours a week to Something Vintage and it still wouldn’t be enough.  But there are plenty of awesome moms in the DC wedding industry who manage to be fabulous at their professions and great moms, like Anne Robert, Sugar Taylor, and Holly Chapple, so that gives me not only hope but inspiration that I can do this.
